in micro processor v have on chip memory and in micro controller we donot have on chip memory. micro controllers have processor in a single chip contains cpu, rom, ram in a single chip where as in processor rom and ram are present in d chip..

microprocessor: includes the A2U,register arrays, control circuits on a single chip.it is a programmable electronic device that controls interpretation and execution of instructions.

microcontrollers: like a microprocessor ,a microcontroller is a general purpose device, that is menat to raed data and perform some limited calculations.it includes microprocessor ,memory ,input, output in single chip
